Businesses are driven by necessity. People need (or want) certain products and services, and businesses exist to provide those. Upgrades of current products and services create another realm of need for customers. Because people own a certain product or service, they will continuously look for ways to improve the experience they obtain from these objects. That need is the driving force that will encourage customers to acquire the upgrades that you offer.

For some businessmen, the reason for initiating marketing campaigns is to attract new customers. The idea of initiating content marketing to existing customers is a good wake-up call for businesses to learn the value of a stable customer base to the success of any business. It would not make sense to attract new customers at the expense of losing existing ones.
